Save the KOUZO (和紙の原料) Project | 楮剥ぎ 福井県池田町 越前和紙は日本最古の紙漉き産地。それでも、原料の調達は今後も長く続く大きな課題です。和紙職人や作家など、和紙の産地に暮らす人々が、楮を残すための活動をしています。私達はその活動の一端に参加し、楮剥ぎの工程に関わりました。 "Save the KOUZO (material of washi) Project" Ikeda, Fukui Kozo has a sweet aroma when steamed.Echizen Washi is the oldest papermaking region in Japan.However, the supply of raw materials is a major issue that will be faced for a long time to come.The people who live in the papermaking region, including the washi craftsmen and artists, are trying to preserve Kozo.I participated in this project and was involved in the kozo bark stripping process as part of the activity.
