Sen is a creative team in 2023 by five creators based in Echizen City, Fukui Prefecture. Our mission is to confront the origins of local materials and technologies, and to create new interpretations through their creations. We live in the residential building and create and exhibit in the atelier/gallery, which is stocked with a large amount of local materials and prototypes using them.
1998年生まれ。東京育ち。2021年武蔵野美術大学空間演出デザイン学科卒業。2022年に福井県へ移住。作り手と使い手の健康的な関係を模索し、その間に立つ伝え手を担う。プロジェクトのキュレーション、ディレクションを主に担当。
Born in 1998 and raised in Tokyo. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Spatial Design in 2021, and moved to Fukui Prefecture in 2022. I seek a healthy relationship between makers and users, and take on the role of a communicator who stands between them. Mainly in charge of curating and directing projects.

1999年名古屋市生まれ。福井県福井市の山間部を拠点に、家具・什器のデザイン・製作を専門とする会社を経営。 仕事の傍ら、木、金属、樹脂など様々な素材を自由に操り、素材の垣根を越えた技術を習得しながら、手作業による制作技術を磨いている。スノーボード愛好家。
Born in 1999 in Nagoya. Based in the mountains of Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture, he runs a company specializing in the design and production of furniture and fixtures. Alongside his work, he hones his skills by working freely with his hands, exploring various materials such as wood, metal, and resin—mastering techniques that transcend material boundaries.An avid snowboarder.

Creating with a deep respect for the inherent properties of materials while embracing unconventional approaches. Drawing inspiration from the traditional craftsmanship and culture encountered in everyday life, continuing to produce works that reflect these influences.

Born in Fukui, Japan in 1999. Graduated from Musashino Art University, Department of Crafts and Industrial Design, and has been involved in the management of RENEW since 2021. Currently, while working for a lacquerware manufacturer, I'm involved with craft workshops and people across multiple production areas. I want to be a cat's paw to keep the production area going.
